Helios and Belinda Womack on April 11
The Helios Jazz Orchestra features singer Belinda Womack in a special concert at the Palladium Theater on Sunday, April 11 at 3 PM. Leader of Kool Reflektions, gospel/jazz/R & B singer, educator and much more - Belinda Womack is one of the Tampa Bay area's most cherished treasures. Hear her sing her favorite jazz and pop standards with the 20-piece Helios Jazz Orchestra (directed by David Manson) at the beautiful Palladium Theater in downtown St. Petersburg. Helios Opens SPC Jazz Festival

Helios Jazz Orchestra with singers Dale Williams and Sasha Tuck
The Helios Jazz Orchestra was formed in September 2008 as a resident ensemble at St. Petersburg College. The modern big band is directed by SPC faculty member David Manson and performs a wide range of styles including Latin, swing, bebop and standards. The new group has been featured at the WMNF Jazz Jam with singer Kevin Mahogany, the Sarasota Jazz Club’s Big Band Bash, at the Salvador Dali Museum and other events.
Sasha Tuck is a versatile vocalist, composer, arranger, and educator who teaches in the new MIRA program at St. Petersburg College. She has a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, where she sang in the acclaimed Jazz Singers. She has performed at over 100 venues and festivals and many more clubs, restaurants, hotels, and private parties.
Dale Williams is a seasoned professional who has worked both as a solo performer and in groups. Early in his career, he appeared as lead singer for Free Enterprise in the Detroit Metro area. Over the years, Dale has appeared on TV, in voice-overs for radio and has opened for Tom Jones, Willie Tyler & Lester, Barbara Eden, Rich Little and many more.

Helios at the Salvador Dali Museum
The Helios Jazz Orchestra performs at the Salvador Dali Museum on Tuesday, November 24 at 8 PM. The concert includes works by Charles Mingus, Mario Bauza, Horace Silver, David Manson and more. Sasha Tuck is the featured vocalist for the concert. Admission is $10 at the door. The Salvador Dali Museum is located at 1000 3rd St. South in St. Petersburg.

Helios at Peace Memorial 10/11
The Helios Jazz Orchestra will perform at Peace Memorial Church on their Concert Series - Sunday, October 11 at 3 PM. With the sizzle of a solar flare, the Helios Jazz Orchestra will thrill you with its full sound and selections from Gershwin to Count Basie. This 20 piece Big Band is under the baton of trombonist David Manson of SPC. Some of its talented members have performed with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Burt Bacharach and Henry Mancini. As Clearwater prepares for its big jazz fest the following week, come swing along with the sounds of the Helios Jazz Orchestra. Free will donation.

FREE Concert - September 15
The Helios Jazz Orchestra is performing its most difficult instrumental works on Tuesday, September 15 at the SPC Music Center. The concert begins at 7:30 PM.
The selections include arrangements and compositions by Charles Mingus, Steve Speigel, Tom Jobim and more. The SPC Music Center is located at the corner of 5th Ave. North & 66th St. in St. Petersburg.

The Helios Jazz Orchestra is performing on Sunday, August 16 at 3 PM at the SPC Music Center.
Eddie Rosicky and Rita Wilson are the featured singers. Selections include “Witchcraft”, “Black Coffee”, “Agua de Beber”, “Gravy Waltz” and others.
