On April 30, the Helios Jazz Orchestra welcomes Russia’s award-winning chamber orchestra Divertissement Ensemble with a performance. The concert will feature vocalists Rita Wilson and Michael Cerone in selections including “They Can’t Take Away From Me”, “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” and more.
The free concert is open to the public. It starts at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Petersburg College Music Center, located at 6605 5th Avenue North in St. Petersburg. For more information, please call 727-341-7984.
The Helios Jazz Orchestra is an 18-piece modern jazz big band based in the Tampa Bay area and St. Petersburg, Florida. The group is directed by David Manson. Swing, Latin, bebop and straight-ahead jazz are played by this modern big band.
