Who We Are

The Helios Jazz Orchestra was formed in late 2008 and performs Swing, Bebop, Latin and Contemporary jazz. Helios has been active performing at the Clearwater Jazz Festival, Palladium Theater, Ybor Jazz Festival, WMNF Jazz Jam, the Salvador Dali Museum, SPC Jazz Festival and other events. Helios has also backed singers Kevin Mahogany, Kathy Kosins, Belinda Womack, Denise Moore, Sasha Tuck and others. Helios performs every third Tuesday of the month at NOVA 535 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Helios at NOVA 535 on April 19!







Helios Jazz Orchestra returns to NOVA 535 with guest singers Denise Moore & David Thut on April 19.  The 18-piece Helios Jazz/Swing Orchestra returns every 3rd Tuesday to NOVA 535 for a concert of modern big band & swing music.  Recently featured on the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, the Helios Jazz Orchestra performs Latin Jazz, Swing, Bebop and Funk at our the beautiful NOVA 535. Big band, jazz jam session, open bar, dancing, free catered treats and free valet parking... all for $10.
