Who We Are

The Helios Jazz Orchestra was formed in late 2008 and performs Swing, Bebop, Latin and Contemporary jazz. Helios has been active performing at the Clearwater Jazz Festival, Palladium Theater, Ybor Jazz Festival, WMNF Jazz Jam, the Salvador Dali Museum, SPC Jazz Festival and other events. Helios has also backed singers Kevin Mahogany, Kathy Kosins, Belinda Womack, Denise Moore, Sasha Tuck and others. Helios performs every third Tuesday of the month at NOVA 535 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Helios at NOVA 535 on Jan. 17

The Helios Jazz Orchestra returns to NOVA 535 for a Tuesday evening of Swing, dance and jazz standards.  If you love to dance, this 18-piece jazz big band will have you up on the dance floor in seconds!  With free valet parking, cabaret seating and a full bar - this is the best entertainment in the Tampa Bay area on a Tuesday evening.

NOVA 535 is located at 535 Dr. M.L. King Street North in St. Petersburg. The band begins to play at 7:30 on the dot.
